Before
Take a lesson you currently teach (or a lesson you remember from school). Design a technology enhancement at the Redefinition level — something students could not do without technology. Then apply the unplugged test honestly. Is the tech-enhanced version genuinely better for learning?
After
The question is never 'how can I use this technology?' but 'what learning experience do my students need, and does technology make it better?' If the answer to the second question is no, skip the tech.
